Welcome

Welcome to the BSc in Interactive Media Design website.

Interactive Media Design (or IMD as we like to call it) is a collaborative degree programme situated within both Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and the School of Computing at the University of Dundee. The BSc in Interactive Media Design brings together Computing modules, Design Studies modules and Interactive Media Design modules, in a range of hand-on projects that prepare students for one of the fastest growing sectors in the international economy.

Interactive media designers are found in many settings and industries: entertainment and interactive TV, mobile services, product and industrial design, interior and environmental design, web-based commerce, e-learning, games development, advertising and the public sector.

Our students are already making waves both at home and abroad by gaining publicity in mainstream media and in cult technology design blogs. Bruce Sterling, science fiction writer and visionary, recently described our students as "the awsomest".

Studying with us, you will explore many kinds of interaction design and cutting-edge technologies. The world needs a new kind of designer to meet the amazing technical and creative challenges that new digital technologies are opening up to us.
