Design Process

 

The design of the project has taken quite a linear and a very iterative process, and has been delayed by a few setbacks (these are discussed in Critical Reflection).

The first stage was the project realization, which came from initial ideas of some form of interactive confidence builder (discussed more fully in Development). Once the idea of a presentation simulator came about, there was a lot of background research on the subject of presentation skills as well as research with potential users carried out. Details of these findings can be found in Research. The findings from both of these research areas formed the basis of the project development and the prototype development began.

 
 

A basic working model of the project was developed and some potential users tested this to ensure it would work with the target user group. The feedback of the user tests gave more requirements for the project and have ensured “Onstage” will be a successful project. These users will be asked to test a newer version of the project before it is finalised.
