An example of where the reverse vending machine could be placed, obivously the closer it is to normal vending machines the better as people are more likely to use it.

The reverse vending machine was my first real idea for what I wanted to do for my final year project, I thought it would be a really quirky and interesting twist on the vending machine which many people use . It was unfortunately a bit too bold and would have taken too long to build. Another factor that stopped me developing one was the fact that a company already existed that made reverse vending machines on a mass scale. When I found this out I knew it would be better to try and do something else.

It was a good idea and one that really caught my imagination at the start of the project, as it is such a cute an interesting twist on a machine thousands use everyday, it also conforms to the main objectives I set out to do for my project, which was to keep things fun and interactive.
It would have been hard work to make the reverse vending machine, and involve a lot of mechanism building, but it would have been worth it, but unfortunately as stated above the machine had already been made to a much higher standard than I could ever hope to make it.
