Feelings and reasons for recycling

Where do different people and recycling issues meet and what connections can be made between them?
I carried out a small mind mapping exercise so that I could get a better understand of who I could target the project at, I had it in the back of my mind that students would be the best target audience but by doing a mind map it helped to confirm this thought in the my head.
As you can see from the mind map, I had made two different categories the first on the purple paper was to represent the most commonly recycled products such as paper, glass, plastic etc. I did not add all the recyclable items that I had found in my research, as many of them did not suit the purpose of the project, which would help someone to recycle on a more regular basis.
The second group I made up of yellow notes are the reasons and feelings that cause people to carry out recycling. I felt that by addressing these issues, which are important, to think about for my project as I intended to make it fun and enjoyable for people. and do not want to cause people any of the feelings that I have highlighted in the mind map picture.
I felt that by carrying out this exercise I was able to effectively gain some ideas on what elements I would and would not like to have in my project. The only negative point I can think of for this exercise is that it can feel like it limits some of the ideas and subject area you are trying to go over, but overall it is a good way of getting some initial ideas going through your head.
