By carrying out an interactive advertising campaign, I thought it a good idea to do some research into previous advertising campaigns;
I used the books the fundamentals of creative advertising by Ken Burtenshaw, Nik Mahon, and Caroliine Barfoot and also found the book guerrilla advertising by Gavin Lucas and Michael Dorrian to be very helpful in giving me ideas for projects in advertising that where different and stood out of the crowd in the world. The books made me realise that it is not the grandest and brightest ideas that do the best in advertising it is usually the most simple and plain ideas that make the most impact on the design briefs.
I also used a really good website called the cool hunter, which looks at lots of different designs, from posters and advertising to fashion and service design. It is a really good website to get inspiration from and I found it both very interesting as well as very rich in content.

I also used other traditional research techniques, by simply reading magazines, newspapers and looking at posters on the street, it all helped to give me ideas as to what advertising works well and what does not.
