Interactive seating area
Within spaces such airports, train station etc there not only is there a constant movement of people through the space, but there is a large amount of people at any given time sitting, waiting within the space. Situated within the space Connect in Transit would utilise this seating. The piece will still react to peoples movements, as captured by a camera situated above the space: the more movement within the space the greater the system output would be. Through the movements generated by the passers by, the system will output audio loops, creating a musical soundscape. The more people that interact with the piece, the greater and more diverse the soundscape will become.

The space will separate itself from the rest of the seating areas as it will be composed of a different types of seat: instead of rows of bench style seating, the space will comprise of cubed seats that are mobile, giving the users within the space the flexibility to build there own seating arrangement. By allowing the users to create their own seating arrangement, they will be creating there own soundscape, depending on their position within the designated area.
