Project Evaluation
Project Process
The approach I have taken in this project is a traditional design approach. This process felt the most comfortable to use as it involves an obvious step-by-step progression. By starting with research then moving on to initial ideas and development my project has therefore gradually grown over the year. This has meant that my final ideas have gradually developed in to very strong concepts.
A very important aspect throughout the project has been to evaluate my designs. This has either taken the form of informal conversations with colleagues, taking pictures or filming people interacting with my designs. This has proved to be very useful in furthering my designs especially with the Noise poster.
I have been continuously documenting my work throughout the year. This has not only allowed me to keep a record of my progress but has also helped me to focus on what I needed to achieve.
Overall I am satisfied with my progress and performance this semester and over the year. There is one element however of my project that I am not yet happy with. In general I feel that the do not disturb website is not as strong as the pack or the poster. The website is the weakest element of the project as I am not sure if it is really necessary. However I am hoping that like the pack and poster the website concept will develop further over the next couple of weeks and become strong concept within the campaign.
Time Management
I feel that I have managed my project in terms of time very well. The success of this has involved keeping my time management quite relaxed, which has meant that I have managed to complete tasks in my own time rather than to a specific deadline. Although I did not have specific deadlines I did continuously review what I had done each week then planned tasks for the following week. This helped me to keep on top of work without it having to be too formal.
Degree Show
For the degree show I propose to finalise and make the designs of the pack, poster and website. |
