Noise Poster Graphic Development

After having some initial ideas for the pack I decided to use a similar style for the poster.
When brainstorming ideas I kept on becoming stuck when thinking about what message I should convey. This was because I was not entirely sure what I wanted to say through the poster and in what tone.
I decided to try and visually represent a few ideas to see what ones worked best for the campaign.
Idea 1 concentrates more on the message and the sound than having aesthetically pleasing graphics. I wanted to show through this poster that I am adding to the noise situation but I am doing so in a way that makes the public aware of it. The message is using reverse psychology by saying one thing but meaning another. This message also fits in nicely with the idea of using the sound device.
Idea 2 derived from an idea I thought of when thinking about a logo for the campaign. In this idea the poster would not take the traditional form of a poster. Instead it would be in the shape of a door hanger. The speaker would be positioned in the same way as the prototype. By using the shape of the door hanger I could hang the poster from various outdoor objects such as lampposts, bus stops etc. This would make the poster stand out even more, as it would be incorporated into its environment. This is one idea that I am very keen to develope.
Idea 3 is about conveying the irritation of the sound that is being played. In this idea I wanted to visually show the irritation in words so that it is clear to the passer by. By repeating the words it is replicating the repeating sound from the speaker thus emphasise the annoyance of nuisance noise.
For idea 4 I decided to use the symbols that represent my campaign on the poster. I wanted the user to be curious of the icons and be encouraged to go to the website to find out more. This idea represents a kind of advert for the campaign.
Idea 5 uses only the circle symbol to emphasise the sound from the speaker. Again I have not used much writing on this poster to add some curiosity to it. However I think that it may need some text to hint at what the campaign message is about as it may be too unclear. The use of red and white works particularly well with the circles.
There are elements of all the initial ideas that I like. I hope to develop one idea further for my final piece. |
