This website documents my 4th year major project in Interactive Media Design. Over the year I hope to gain an insight into the vast range of minor anxieties that people experience everyday. Also, to realise what effect this has, and to investigate whether or not there are ways to overcome these fears.

The main area of interest is exploring the issues concerning anxiety in society. Through individual and group studies I hope to in some way interpret the feelings that are common when an anxiety or fear is present. Being aware of the social consequences of fears and insecurities will enable me to investigate different methods of approaching and overcoming them.

The project is research driven although design will influence and be a part of the research process. I intend to explore the problem rather than attempt to find a solution. I would like to  think that using interactivity as a communication tool will play a large role in my design process. Social interaction on any level results in the sharing of ideas, thoughts and in this case fears. Using this concept I hope to place value on the importance of basic communication even in today’s technology driven society.

This is my original project proposal and my timeline for the whole project.
