See Differently

Ceara McCurdy

In a society where reading is often seen as a chore instead of a hobby, See Differently brings together physical books with modern, digital media in an attempt to reach new consumers. Taking inspiration from kinetic typography as well as film trailers, screen-based material has been specifically made for each book involved.

Designed as an in-store display, the stand uses existing barcodes on books to detect which book “trailer” to play. Each video is also available to view online, where the user can browse through all books involved as well as accessing direct links to purchase the books.

It is my belief that the future of traditional books lies in integration with digital media. See Differently is my solution.
