Design is changing.

Where once it was sufficient for a furniture designer to merely design furniture, or a graphic designer to design graphics, the computer, and it's associated technological advances have meant a collision of the worlds of the sketchbook and the desktop. The designers of the next generation will be those who can manouver inbetween these previously seperate fields, who can react on their feet to the increasing speed of technology's advance.

As Interactive Media Design students we have the ability to work between the disciplines of design and computing. This allows us to create innovative solutions to complex problems and explore novel research areas that are on the cutting edge of interaction design. Throughout the course we have become experts in applying our knowledge in the areas of design, computing, media research, business and practical real world projects.

The Interactive Media Design course has given us the flexibility to focus on a range of interaction design issues such as innovations in interactive objects, the social implications of technology and the role of narrative in interactive applications. Our degree show is the culmination of 4 years exploration and innovation in the fields of interactive media and design. The variety and content of the degree projects are indicative of the course as a whole.

So, you can see. We're not just designers. We're a bit different.
